Humans are intriguing creatures with remarkable abilities. Some have certain advantages, while others encounter their challenges. Yet, what connects us all is our capacity to feel a wide array of emotions, no matter our narratives.
I love photographing people in their daily lives, capturing their emotional essence through authentic reactions and significant expressions. People are the essential elements that infuse my photographs with diverse flavors. I aim to evoke emotions and narrate a story that extends beyond the captured moment.
As I sat in the back seat of a yellow taxi in New York City, I snapped a photo of a man I referred to as "John Doe." Despite his rugged appearance, his sorrowful expression suggested he was anxious or troubled. He appeared lost in thought, possibly pondering a situation. New Yorkers are often seen as tough and resilient, with a determined attitude. Yet, this moment unveiled a different aspect of John, showing his vulnerability and humanity.
I captured a photo of this spirited toddler riding in her diaper in Heidelberg, Germany, on a hot summer day. Her expression clearly communicated to her parent that she was in charge. Everyone, myself included, watched in amusement as she walked by. The toddler reminded me of my own determination when I insisted on learning to ride a bicycle on my own. Each time I fell, I picked up the bicycle and threw it on the ground. My stubbornness wouldn't allow me to give up! One day, my mom looked out the window and, to her surprise, saw that I was riding.
While visiting Budapest, Hungary, I saw a Frenchie crossing the street. I adore dogs, and Frenchies are among my favorites. I decided to take a picture of the Frenchie with my camera. Unfortunately, the walker moved, and instead, I ended up photographing a young woman I referred to as "Jane Doe." She seemed confident and at ease while talking on her cell phone. However, when she realized I was taking a picture, she shot me a serious and inquisitive look.

That toddler is quite a character. I have kids. These little beings are smart and can be demanding. I sometimes turn away from them to laugh because their expressions are funny although disrespectful.
